HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA–(Marketwired – Oct. 22, 2013) – Corridor Resources Inc. (“Corridor”) (TSX:CDH) announced today that it has entered into a forward sale agreement from November 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014 for an average of 3,000 mmbtu per day (approximately 2.8 mmscf per day), at an average price of $US9.03/mmbtu and an estimated netback of approximately $CAD6.50/mscf. This forward sale agreement covers approximately one-third of Corridor’s estimated production for that period. Corridor’s remaining production will be sold at daily market prices which are expected to be strong during this period due to the high basis differential in the New England markets.
“This strong sales price and resulting estimated netback is an indication of the exceptional premiums that Corridor’s production can obtain during seasonal peaking periods in the New England market. This forward sale agreement enhances Corridor’s cash flow from operations for this period and further demonstrates the premiums we can expect to obtain for our existing and future production from our McCully Field operations,” said Phillip Knoll, President and CEO of Corridor. “The premiums we anticipate going forward in the New England market provide us with confidence that the contemplated 2014 drilling plans will provide Corridor increased cash flows in 2014 and 2015 and also increases the economic potential for our Frederick Brook shale play.” The 2014 drilling program is subject to the availability of equipment, regulatory approvals and confirmation of a competitive royalty regime.
