Corridor holds a 100% interest in natural gas storage licenses (35,792 gross acres) located in Salt Springs in south-central New Brunswick, approximately 50 kilometres from Saint John, and is currently negotiating with potential partners regarding undertaking a preliminary evaluation of the potential for leaching caverns for natural gas storage in salt formations. An engineering study for a salt water disposal pipeline has been completed, as well as a study determining the availability of source water to leach the storage caverns. Natural gas storage at Salt Springs could potentially support the Canaport LNG import facility in Saint John, helping to meet peak demand loads in the New England markets.
